When I feel bad, James Taylor’s voice makes me feel better. So last night, I went looking for him on YouTube. When I was in high school, I babysat two little kids down the street after school every day. The three-year old had multiple congenital mental and physical handicaps. So in the winter we stayed inside, and we would usually watch
I remember this clip from those days. (a) I like James Taylor, and (b) this is really happy. At least – I remembered it when I saw it last night. It never occurred to me to look for
So, here you are – a happy thing from me today, because everything is transitory, even grief. Unless we insist on getting stuck in it. Ummm, Duh. If you're reading this on GoogleReader, I posted the link instead of the embed code by mistake and then fixed it right away, but you'll get the original. Sorry.

AAAND, a tuba!! Could it get any better than this?
Yes, lovely. Lifts the spirit every time.
D-P, one of the gifts of life is knowing where to find things that do that when you need them.
YAY! I luf James, and I grew up on Seasame Street...
James and Carley Simon both do it for me - hit that sweet poignant spot.
I've been listening to Joni Mitchell a lot this week too, Eileen.
Very cool Kate:) I remember loving Sesame Street, and still think about Big Bird and his friend - hmmmm - Mr Snuffleupalus????????
Snufflupagus. Snuffy's so much easier.
Sweet James Taylor. I didn't grow up on Sesame Street, but my kids did, so I watched or heard a lot of it. This is a good one and a happy one.
Kate, I thought that you were already on my blogroll, but you were not. I just added you, love. Prepare for thousands of new visitors
Thank you, Mimi!!!
There are two things I've wanted to do for a while, and not tried yet. David Austin Allen kindly explained how to post a working link in a comments thread -- I just tried with Wounded Bird, but I didn't do it right. So tomorrow, I'm going to do that, and put a blogroll here too.
Kate, have you looked at this page? It gives instructions on how to do the html links.
Boy, did I giggle! Now there's an example of what children should be doing! I can't decide who's cuter, the kids or James. ;-)
