And that seems to me to be a good enough reason to change my picture (just to show you all), and to post something else silly. First of all, I LUVS me my new jeans! They fit the way jeans are supposed to fit (painted on, but not enough to be obnoxious, my landlady said), and my sister-n-law said, “You are SUCH a toothpick!” when I came out of the changing room in the store. Ultra-low rise, because I am not put together the way manufacturers think women oughtta be (I have a narrow, kinda racing-greyhound rear elevation) – two buttons and about a two-inch long zipper in the fly.
In 1979, I loved The Monks. “I Ain’t Getting Any” and “Drugs in my Picket”. And this one, which seems most appropriate today. Have fun! I am …

They're great! Comfortable jeans which fit perfectly are a delight..
it stopped before we saw legs & co!!
Grace, even jeans that are slightly uncomfortable by the end of the day, that fit perfectly, are a delight. I was gonna wear them tonight, but I ended up in a knee-length denim skirt with a dangerous slit up the front instead.
Derek -- I think you have to go to YouTube to see legs & co.
I love this post- so filled with your joy and presence!
Thank you, Fran!! It's good to be home. Today, I'm going to The Beach again -- getting ready now.
Finding a perfect pair of jeans is a sort of holy grail sort of experience for me. Always has been; regardless of size.
Glad you found a pair just right for you!
yep, finding good jeans are a true "holy" experience. i've been all different sizes depending on my health at the time or my meds at the time.
went from a 4 to a 6 now and i had to get a couple of new pair because of that.
i had 2 pair of 4s that i just lovedlovedloved, but alas, i had to give them to goodwill.
yours look terrific. enjoy!
Pagan, this has been lots of fun for me, because until about two years ago, I didn't care about how they looked, as long as my clothes covered me up as much as possible. Caring about it is fun.
Sherry, I've had size changes all my life too. I'm just about to retire, I think, my first most-favourite pair of jeans. They're a size 10, and I've had to take a couple of tucks in the waistband, and would have to again. But the big problem is, the fabric's frayed between the bottom of the fly and that spot where all four leg seams meet. They're just indecent. My niece has offered to try to fix them, and I'm going to let her, but I'm not sure if it will work.
it's sad when a fav pair dies.
i hate trashing them.
