Like it sez – taken by me this afternoon, in front of Picone’s Food Market, in Dundas, Ontario. One of those will be part of my breakfast on Thursday.

I sounded too stupid in the last comment, as if I was trying to "fix" your situation. So (((Kate)))--this is a hard time; God is present. You are held.

Also, the apples are beautiful and cheap! Wish I could get such nice ones way down here in south TX, but we have old ones at the end of the highway. . . .

It was a Northern Spy, and it was delicious with old cheddar cheese. And tomorrow, another one will be delicious with peanut butter.

Thank you, Jan. There are gifts here too. Hard ones, but they are here.

Have you tried apple slices with Nutella?

What could possibly look more delicious? An apple pie, maybe?!

(Wish I'd been shown how to bake those...)

I never liked Nutella, Dennis -- I like the dark chocolate that isn't too sweet. I did make very good chocolates with it at Christmas though, and I make great apple pies too. But I'm diabetic, and don't eat any of those things any more, even when I make them for other people.

And I like cooking for other people -- let me know if you're ever going to be in the neighbourhood.

We were at the local vegetable market yesterday (after I had seen this post and added my comment about Nutella) and we saw a lot of great apples. SO of course I had to load up on the apples and pears while we were there. I'm very suggestible when it comes to food!

Bleu cheese with pears for breakfast, Dennis -- or any other time. A few toasted walnuts or pecans on the side. Yum.
